Paolo Damiani was born in Rome, where he lives and works. After initial experience as a commercial artist, he gave up work to devote himself entirely to art painting. From the first abstract experience, he reaches the visual arts. The obsession and the search for the human figure will be the focus of his work, which still prevails in his works. Any work by Damiani is a deep search for knowledge about that strange natural object, which is the man and the space around him: the research is a suffering, an expression of inner emotions, which are released in the picture through the universal language of the painting .
From his first abstract forms, he has reached to the mid-nineties the study of visual arts with a special attention to the English and German art of painting. The study of the human body is still today its priority, without leaving out a great interest in new forms of experimentation.
